Michel’s Patisserie’s product range boasts over 200 delicious items consisting of small and large cakes, flans, pastries, pies, quiche and other savouries with the added value of hot and cold beverages. This simply irresistible menu allows Michel’s Patisserie to cater for all special occasions as well as breakfast, lunch and morning & afternoon teas.
   
Keep It Simple (K.I.S)
From the outset the plan was for simplicity. This is achieved by separating the food preparation (baking) from the retailing. No 2.00am starts as your daily order is placed to your central bakery each afternoon and delivered fresh the next day*.

An Affordable Franchise
An average cost for a new Michel’s Patisserie store is $272,000 - $401,000* and is considerably lower than a retail Franchise requiring baking on site.
* Price includes fit-out, preliminary training, manuals & initial Franchise fee but excludes GST, which is later returned to the Franchisee, your legal costs, stamp duty and initial trading stock.
   
On Going Fees
A Franchise Service fee equal to (7%) plus GST of your gross sales is payable in connection with Michels Patisserie franchise. A marketing contributions equal to (3%) plus GST is also payable into an independently aiditted marketing fund. This fund is used to collectivelly promote increased customer awareness and provide each store with promotional material and ongoing marketing services to facilitate constant attraction of new customers, increased average dollar sales and the frequency of purchase.
   
Comprehensive Training
All Michels Patisserie franchisees attend a comprehensive yet relaxed training programme at our academy on Queensland's Gold Coast. Franchisees are able to learn in a happy and positive environment from specialist training staff. The curriculum covers every facet of your business from the obvious operational and technical skills to conceptual planning of your business, customer service and marketing. Support continues via 'refresher' training seminars delivered around the country at Franchise Enhancement Council meetings and one-on-one with BDMs.
   
Franchisee Support
State offices provide assistance in all aspects of running your business including administration, financial management, local marketing, coffee, retail operations and customer service. The ongoing relationship includes:

3. How many different types of Patisserie items does Michel’s Patisserie produce?
Over 200 individual items are baked fresh every night by our bakeries. The range includes Danish pastries and muffins through to large and special occasion cakes as well as an extensive range of pies and savouries.

4. How much is a Michel’s Patisserie Franchise?
Investments for a new store will range from $272,000 to $401,000 + GST for a turnkey store excluding initial trading stock. The price for an existing store ranges up to $1,000,000.

5. What support will I receive from Michel’s Patisserie when I begin operating my store?
Additional retail support is provided as required for up to a mximum of 2 weeks operation. From there you will receive ongoing retail support from your dedicated Business Development Manager.

6. What is the length of a Franchise Agreement?
Existing stores – The incoming Franchisee will take over the remainder of the agreement for that store.
New Stores – 5 + 5 years.

7. Who negotiates the Lease?
Michel’s Patisserie will secure the location and negotiate the lease or Security Deposit. The lease is held by Michel’s Patisserie while the Bank Guarantee or Security Deposit and monthly lease payments are provided by the Franchisee to the landlord.

8. Am I able to sell my Franchise?
Yes, however Michel’s Patisserie is offered the first right of refusal and any purchaser put forward for the Franchise must be approved by Michel’s Patisserie. Potential purchasers will be evaluated and must fit the criteria requirements set out by Michel’s Patisserie. There will be an assignment fee payable to Michel's Patisserie in the event you sell or transfer your franchise.

9. Are Franchisees expected to actively work in the store?
Yes, franchisees are expected to work in store a minimum of 40 hours per week. This is an important factor in the success of our stores.
